Biography

Jed Rankin joined IBM in 1995 with a BS in Chemical Engineering from Clarkson University, and became part of GLOBALFOUNDRIES with the acquisition of IBM in 2015.   Jed has held positions in RIE development, lithography, OPC, characterization, and competitive analysis before joining the Burlington maskhouse in 2003.  In the IBM, then Globalfoundries photomask team, Jed helped lead the development teams from the 90-7nm node, and from 2014-2018, was responsible for EUV mask development program in Burlington and Dresden. He was Chairman of the SPIE BACUS photomask conference in 2019. He has authored over 20 papers and holds over 220 patents.
